Chef Jean-Pierre entered the world in one of the world's top restaurant destinations: Paris, France. Born to expatriate Americans living abroad, he grew up not only in France, but in Yugoslavia, Belgium, Australia and these united States.

Chef Jean-Pierre was destined to become a chef, and was named after his two Parisian godfathers, Jean and Pierre Lafon, who were restaurateurs of the famous brasserie, La Coupole, in the 6th arrondissement.

Chef Jean-Pierre works, plays and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He loves to cook for his family and friends. He says. 
"I like to gather those close to me, so that we can break bread and have fellowship together. What's better than that?"
